Zelwa region plans to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Constitution of the Republic of Belarus.

March 15 in the center of culture and folk art will be a solemn meeting and at the same time a concert. The invited guests will be 15 outstanding 14-year-old Zelives, who will be handed their most important document in a solemn atmosphere — the passport of a citizen of the Republic of Belarus, — Galina Romanchuk, head of the department of ideological work, culture and youth affairs, told the Pratsa newspaper.

As for the patriotic upbringing of the younger generation, at the round table the members of the Youth Parliament together with the Zelva deputies will be able to discuss the rights and freedoms of Belarusians (March 13). From March 11 to March 16 in libraries and museums (including school ones) the exhibitions “Presidency Institute: Milestones of History” will be decorated. This week in each class will be thematic information hours. Some will be attended by representatives of the public association «Belaya Rus». There will also be a competition of children’s drawings in two nominations at once (“The State in which I live”, “Me and my rights”), a thematic essay competition, and even sports competitions! On spring break, schoolchildren will make excursion trips to historical places of Belarus.

Today, the Constitution of the Republic of Belarus includes a preamble, 9 sections, in which 8 chapters and 146 articles. How well do schoolchildren know them? This can be learned during the online quiz, which can be completed on March 16.

In March, the central district library will host a round table entitled “The History of the Presidency: History and the Present”, and a meeting will be organized in the format of the oral journal “The Law on Me, Me on the Law”. In turn, cultural institutions will delight residents of the district with patriotic concerts of “Radzima May daragaya”.

“Immediately, four thematic banners appeared on this date in the region: two in Zel’va and one each in the Knyazevo and Gorynka agro-towns,” noted Galina Nikolaevna. — With regard to public information, materials about the Constitution Day will be posted both in the district newspaper “Pratsa” and on websites, as well as information boards of Zelva’s institutions and organizations.
