Power point for athletes of the II European Games in Minsk will be ready for operation by May 10

The powerhouse of athletes of the II European Games in the Students’ Village will be ready for test operation from May 10, Boris Kritsky, Director of the Business Center Stolitsa, told reporters during a republican clean-up, BelTA informs.

The object is already built. Today, representatives of the business center, the Main Directorate of the Consumer Market of the Minsk City Executive Committee, the Foundation “Directorate of the II European Games” held a labor event here — they cleaned up the territory, storage facilities, worked with technological equipment. «The pavilion is designed for 2 thousand seats. By May 1, they have to put the equipment into process mode, by the 10th — to prepare for test operation. And on April 25, it was entrusted to arrange meals for representatives of the republican organizing committee,» said Boris Kritsky.

In total, over 170 people worked in the Student Village. Improvement of other sports facilities where competitions will be held was also held.

As it was reported, initially it was planned to place a temporary pavilion for catering in the Student Village, but after rational use of budget funds, it was decided to attach the premises to the ice arena in the Minsk neighborhood of Malinovka near the Student Village.

In the period of the II European Games, it organizes food for athletes, and in the future the pavilion will become a universal sports hall for the School. II European Games will be held in Minsk from 21 to 30 June. More than 4 thousand athletes from 50 countries will compete for 199 sets of awards in 15 sports.
