Zelva summer camps invite to recovery

Over a thousand children will recover this summer in Zelva camps. This was reported in the education department of the district executive committee.

“In the “Blue Wave ”camp alone, which, as usual, will work in four shifts, 720 children will be admitted,” said the deputy head of the department Elena Svistun. — And 460 of them are from the city of Grodno.

Rest in the «Blue Wave» is a residence in the buildings in the forest near the Zelva reservoir. Swimming in the pond and relaxing on the well-equipped beach, sports and play areas, a football field, and well-maintained paths for walks in the forest — the Blue Wave calls for active leisure. In the recreation program — five meals. The diet includes natural juices and fresh fruit.

– Something similar offers the camp «Green Planet», based in the Zelva sanatorium school. Its main feature is its location in a picturesque area. Here are gardens, an arboretum, an ecological path. The school has all the conditions for comfortable living, — said Elena Svistun. — The camp is only the third year, but it is quite popular: if in the first year we took only 40 Zelva schoolchildren, then in the past there are already 60. In this we plan to improve 80 Zelives.

In addition to the “Blue Wave” and the “Green Planet”, tourist camps will be included in the camps with round-the-clock stay — 120 people will “roam” this summer. As for day camps, these will be organized in every school in the district. On their base, 530 children will improve their health in the 18-day period. Camps will continue their work on the basis of the Sports School and sports classes — 120 places have been allocated for them.

– Children not only having 1 health group, but also with health problems or chronic diseases (2-4 health groups) come to the health camp. During the period of four shifts of the “Blue Wave” camp and two shifts of the camp, 1,146 children from 6–17 years old from various districts of the Grodno region improved their health on the basis of a sanatorium boarding school. During this period, exacerbations of chronic diseases in children were not observed. And the effectiveness of children’s recovery, as the figures show, is still at a high level.
